The control effect of biochar-quicklime composite passivator on heavy metal cadmi-um in soil of Passiflora edulis orchard
To explore the control effect of biochar+quicklime composite passivator on heavy metal cadmium(Cd)in soil of Passiflora edulis orchard,one-year-old seedlings of P.edulis f.flavicarpa Degener and P.edulis Sims were for pot experiment. The treatments of soil contaminated by 7.65,16.00 mg/kg Cd,adding 10 g/kg biochar+10 g/kg quicklime,20 g/kg biochar+10 g/kg quicklime as composite passivators were set up.The morphological characteristics, the content of Cd in various organs of P.edulis and the content of a-vailable Cd in soil were determined and the bio-concentration factor(BCF)and transport factor(TF)of all plant organs were analyzed. The results showed that addition of compound passivator to the soil of P.edulis significantly reduced the content of available Cd in soil, reduced the toxicity of Cd,improved the soil nutrient status and promoted the growth of P.edulis, also decreased the absorption, enrichment and transport of Cd in P.edulis.The content of Cd in fruit of P.edulis was less than 0.04 mg/kg.The composite passivator with ratio of biochar to quicklime of 1∶1 exhibited the best control effect on Cd in the soil of P.edulis f.flavicarpa Degener orchard. For P.edulis Sims, the composite passivator with the ratio of biochar to quicklime of 1∶1 showed the best control effect under low concentration of Cd pollution, while the ratio of biochar to quicklime of 1∶2 was the best forcontrol of high concentration of Cd pollution in soil.
