Analysis and evaluation of fruit characteristics of salt-tolerant tree beach plum(Prunus maritima Marshall)
The Prunus maritima Marshall, native to the United States,is one of the most salt-tolerant fruit trees. In order to study the fruit characteristics of beach plum, mature fruits of 8-year-old beach plum germ-plasm resource FJB were used as materials, and the phenotypic indicators and the nutritional components of the fruit were analyzed and evaluated. The results showed that the mature fruits were diminutive, with a single fruit weight of approximately 2 grams. The fruit surface color ranged from reddish-purple to light blue. The average soluble solid content was about 14.84%,with total sugar of 7.86%,titratable acid of 0.79%,sugar to acid ratio of 10.03.It was rich in vitamin E and vitamin C,at 7.36 mg/kg and 19.38 mg/100 g,respective-ly.Total polyphenol content reached 6.97 mg/g,fruit anthocyanins content was 35.02 mg/100 g,and peel anthocyanins content reached 260.67 mg/100 g.Among the metal elements of potassium,sodium,iron,mag-nesium,calcium,and zinc, the content of potassium was the highest, followed by calcium, sodium, and mag-nesium.After acid hydrolysis, the total amino acid was 0.379 g/100 g,and the proportion of aspartic acid and glutamic acid was the highest, reaching 54.46%.
