Effects of spraying different concentrations of chelated iron on growth and develop-ment,yield and quality of wine grape
The poor mobility of available iron in the strong alkaline soil in the eastern foot of Helan Mountain in Ningxia frequently leads to yellow leaf disease of wine grapes, which seriously affects the fruit yield and quality.Foliar spraying of micronutrient-fertilizer has been widely used to treat the micronutrient deficiency syndrome, but the appropriate concentration of iron fertilizer applied to wine grapes is still unclear. In this study, the new wine grape variety Matheran in the eastern foot of Helan Mountain was selected as test materi-al,and the response mechanism of growth, yield and quality of wine grape to EDTA-Fe was investigated by foli-ar spraying chelated iron(EDTA-Fe)during fruit expansion stage, color transformation stage and fruit maturi-ty stage through field experiments. The results showed that the content of chlorophyll and the intensity of photosynthesis were enhanced significantly by foliar spraying EDTA-Fe,and the fruit yield, the content of an-thocyanins,total phenols and soluble solids were also significantly increased, but excessive application had a significant inhibitory effect.Correlation analysis and principal component analysis showed that the optimal ED-TA-Fe concentration was 7.25 kg/hm2.
