Effects of different plant growth regulators on fruit retention and fruit quality of yellow pitaya(Selenicereus megalanthus)
In order to study the effect of the plant growth regulator on fruit retention rate and fruit quality of yellow pitaya,2-year-old yellow pitaya plants were used as materials to carry out a two-stage experiment. In the first stage, different plant growth regulators, including 28-Epihomobrassinolide 0.4 mg/L,6-BA 100 mg/L,NAA 80 mg/L,GA3 80 mg/L,were used as treatments with clear water as control.Yellow pitaya fruits were sprayed four times(in a 15d of interval)with these plant growth regulators, and the fruit set rate and single fruit weight were analyzed and compared to select two more effective plant growth regulators for the second stage of the experiment. In the second stage, two kinds of plant growth regulators in different concentrations were com-bined with each other(T1:GA3 20 mg/L+NAA 20 mg/L,T2:GA3 50 mg/L+NAA 50 mg/L,T3:GA3 80 mg/L+NAA 80 mg/L,T4:GA3110 mg/L+NAA 110 mg/L)as treatments, clear water as control.Yellow pitahaya fruits were sprayed four times(in a 15 d of interval)with those combinations of plant growth regulators. The agronomic traits, appearance and shape, and nutrient content of the fruits were determined and analyzed. The results showed that among the four plant growth regulators tested in the first stage of the experiment,GA3 and NAA were more effective, which could significantly increase the fruit retention rate and single fruit weight. In the second stage of the experiment, the effect of four treatments were better than that of CK,among which, the GA3 80 mg/L+NAA 80 mg/L treatment was the most effective. It had the best effect on the fruit retention and fruit quality of the yellow pitaya fruit.
