Effects of different rootstocks on the growth and fruit quality of'Shine Muscat'grape in north-ern Guangxi
In order to select suitable rootstocks for the cultivation of'Shine Muscat'grape in north Guangxi, the biological effects of'5BB','Summer Black','Beta','Gold Muscat'and'Golden Finger'rootstocks on the growth and fruit quality of'Shine Muscat'were compared. The results showed that'Shine Muscat'grafted on'Gold Muscat'and'Golden Finger'had the highest percentage of flowering shoots, the largest thickness of new shoot and internode length, the smaller cluster and the lowest yield.'Shine Muscat'grafted on'5BB'had the highest cluster weight and yield, the lowest titratable acid content and high solu-ble solid to acid ratio, and the second highest soluble solid and total sugar content, only lower than that of'Gold Muscat'.The yield of'Shine Muscat'grafted on'Summer Black'was high, with the lowest content of soluble solid and solid-acid ratio.'Shine Muscat'grafted on'Beta'had the highest ratio of solid-acid and the earliest maturity, but the lowest percentage of flowering shoots. It was concluded that the cultivation performance of'Shine Muscat'grafted on the'5BB'in northern Guangxi was better than that of on'Summer Black','Gold Muscat','Golden Finger'and'Beta'.
