Study on the influencing factors of farmers'rape planting willingness:Based on survey data of 325 rapeseed farmers in Jiangxi Province
The stable development of rape industry concerns the safety strategy of edible oil in China.In order to enlarge the rape planting area in the whole country,it is necessary to study on the planting behavior of farmers.Based on the survey data of 325 rape farmers in Jiangxi Province,a binary selection Logit model was established to analyze the factors affecting farmers'willingness to plant rapeseed from the perspectives of farmers'production characteristics,economic factors and policy factors.The results showed that the planting area of rape,mechanization level,rape oil price,fertilizing effect,tourism development income increase effect,direct subsidy intensity,agricultural machinery subsidy and agricultural insurance participation had positive effects on farmers'rape planting intention,while planting cost and rice subsidy intensity had negative effects.Among them,the selling price of vegetable oil,the income increase effect of tourism development,agricultural machinery subsidy and agricultural insurance participation were significant at the 1％level,and the mechanization level and direct subsidy intensity were significant at the 5％level.Therefore,it is suggested that relevant departments can make policies and measures from increasing subsidies,improving agricultural technical support system,promoting mechanized planting,improving agricultural insurance coverage and developing rape sightseeing tourism projects.
