Regional differences and convergence characteristics of comprehensive development level of agricultural mechanization
The development of agricultural mechanization is a strong support for ensuring the supply of agricultural products in China,promoting the increase of farmers'production and income,and continuously consolidating the achievements of poverty alleviation.Studying the regional differences in the comprehensive development level of agricultural mechanization in China and the development of convergence characteristics are conducive to identifying the root causes of the uneven development of agricultural mechanization,providing data support for policy makers,balancing resource allocation,and narrowing the regional development gap,and then comprehensively promoting the rural revitalization.Based on the data related to agricultural mechanization production from 2004 to 2021,the entropy method is used to measure the comprehensive development level of agricultural mechanization in China,and the Dagum Gini coefficient is calculated to describe its regional differences.Spatial exploratory analysis is used to analyze its industrial agglomeration and test its convergence.Research result shows that during 2004 and 2021,the comprehensive development level of agricultural mechanization in China has increased slightly,from 0.319 0 to 0.345 4,with small increase.The regional gap in the spatial distribution of comprehensive agricultural mechanization development in China has a trend of narrowing.On the whole,the comprehensive development of agricultural mechanization in China is more obviously affected by neighboring provinces.It basically shows the geographical agglomeration characteristics of high values adjacent to high values and low values adjacent to low values,and has obvious positive correlation characteristics.Areas with a lower level of agricultural mechanization development have a"catch-up effect"on areas with a higher level,and the spatial positive correlation between adjacent cities in the comprehensive development of agricultural mechanization is strong.Based on this,suggestions are put forward to increase capital investment and related scientific research investment,improve policy pertinence,and deepen regional division of labor and cooperation.
