In view of the problem that manual washing is still used for the cultivation of Porphyra yezoensis seedlings and cleaning of shells in China, based on the automatic cleaning system of shells used in the previous study of Porphyra yezoensis seedlings, the structural parameters and working parameters of the cleaning device were optimized.Through theoretical calculation and analysis, the number of nozzles on the spray head, the installation height of the nozzle and the range of nozzle rotation angle were determined. The working parameters of the cleaning device were studied by experiments. The nozzle diameter, pump outlet pressure and nozzle swing times were used as experimental factors, and sensory score and water consumption were used as response indicators.A three-factor three-level experiment was designed by using Minitab software. The optimal parameter combination was determined through analysis and optimization of experimental results. The results showed that under the condition of pump outlet pressure of 17 MPa,nozzle diameter of 1.3 mm and nozzle swing 2 times, the sensory score of shell cleaning effect was 0.87 and water consumption was 40.12 L.The optimized working parameters can not only meet the requirements of shell cleaning but also ensure low equipment cost.
