Parameter calibration and test verification of discrete element simulation model of radish seed
In view of the lack of physical parameters required by radish seed metering device discrete element, the physical parameters of radish seed were measured and the parameters of simulation model were calibrated. In this study,Semen Raphani was taken as the research object, and the mass, volume, density,Poisson's ratio, shear modulus, static friction coefficient, rolling friction coefficient and collision recovery coefficient of Semen Raphani were measured.Plackett-Burman test was used to select the significant factors from the test parameters of each group with the accumulation angle of radish seeds as the test index, such as static friction coefficient between radish seeds, rolling friction coefficient between radish seeds. Then the central combination design test was carried out for the significant factors, taking the material accumulation angle as the test index, and the test parameters were optimized to determine the best parameter combination of rolling friction coefficient and static friction coefficient between radish seeds as:0.104,0.804.Taking the hanging spoon type vegetable precision metering device as the test object, the simulation and test were carried out and compared with the physical test. The average relative error between the simulation and the physical test results of the single seed rate, multiple seed rate and empty seed rate was less than 3%,which proved the feasibility of optimizing the calibrated discrete element simulation parameters of radish seed, and the research could provide relevant simulation data for the discrete element simulation of radish seed metering machinery.
