Study on the relationship between semen quality and fertility pressure in men
Objective To analyze the influencing factors on male semen quality,explore the relationship between it and fertility pressure,and provide a psychosocial basis for improving male semen quality.Methods The men who attended the outpatient clinic of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from July 2021 to April 2022 were selected as the study subjects,and were divided into normal semen quality group(n=263),oligospermia group(n=221)and azoospermia group(n=21)by the results of routine semen examination.The study was conducted with the use of a general information questionnaire and a fertility stress scale to analyse the factors affecting semen quality.Results 47.92%of multiple Logistic regression showed that ethnicity and exposure to harmful environment were factors affecting male semen quality(P<0.05);Sexual pressure and parental role needs were significantly correlated with semen quality(P<0.05).There were negative correlations between social pressure and sperm concentration(r=-0.090),sexual pressure and sperm concentration(r=-0.102),sexual pressure and total sperm count(r=-0.103)(P<0.05).Conclusion Psychological counselling should be strengthened to guide men to lead a regular lifestyle and reduce the effects of chronic stress and external factors on semen quality,so as to enhance men's self-confidence in fertility and improve their quality of life.
