Clinical observation on the promotion of wound healing after circumcision using Shenfan-Jiedu decoction in external medicinal liquid application
Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of two different frequency treatments of Shenfan-Jiedu decoction in external medicinal liquid application for wound healing and pain after circumcision.Method A retrospective cohort study design was used to divide 108 patients after circumcision into a low-dose exposure group(once a day)and a high-dose exposure group(twice a day)based on two different medication frequencies of Shenfan-Jiedu decoction. The patients in each group were treated with Shenfan-Jiedu decoction externally on the local wound after surgery, and treatment began continuously for 7 days on the 4th day after surgery.Patient's healing status, postoperative complications, and degree of intraoperative pain before and 7 days after medication within 6 weeks were followed up.Result Compared with the low-dose exposure group, the high-dose exposure group had a shorter healing time(P<0.001)and a lower VAS score(P<0.001).No postoperative complications were observed in the two groups. Conclusion Based on the effects of clearing heat and dampness, detoxifying and reducing swelling, and promoting blood circulation and generating muscle, the Shenfan-Jiedu decoction has an obvious promoting effect on wound healing and relieving pain after circumcision, and is positively correlated with medication frequency.
