With the rising prevalence of prostate cancer,more early prostate cancers are detected.Radical prostatectomy remains the conventional treatment for localized prostate cancer.Although it has good oncological effect,it is also accompanied by many serious side effects,which significantly affect the physical and mental health of patients.With the deepening understanding of prostate cancer and the development of technology,focal treatment of prostate cancer has come true.Recently,transrectal high-intensity focused ultrasound technology has been introduced in China.This article aims to review the operating principle,application and clinical efficacy of this technology in prostate cancer.
