Objective To investigate the influencing factors of female vaginal penetration phobia in 134 cases with unconsummated marriage,and provide empirical evidence for the sexual treatment of female vaginal penetration phobia.Methods A total of 134 women who failed to complete their marriage at a Grade Ⅲ hospital in Nanjing from November 2019 to February 2023 were selected by convenience sampling method.A cross-sectional investigation was conducted using the general data questionnaire,the self-made fear factor questionnaire,the diagnostic criteria of Genito-pelvic pain/penetration disorder and the diagnostic criteria of phobias in the 5th edition of DSM-5.Results Single factor analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in hearing others describe the pain of sexual intercourse for the first time,strict family education,bad feelings of sexual intercourse for the first time,vaginismus,painful sexual intercourse,sexual experience and sexual knowledge(P<0.05).Analysis of binary Logistic regression demonstrated that listening to others describe the pain of first intercourse,the bad feeling of first intercourse and vaginismus were the important influencing factors for sexual intercourse fear(P<0.05).Conclusion The fear factors of GPPPD patients cover sexual experience,sexual knowledge,vaginismus,painful intercourse,strict family education,bad feeling of first intercourse,and hearing others describe the pain of first intercourse,which contributes to GPPPD occurrence.Therefore,sex therapists should focus on different fear risk factors,and give patients Plissit intervention model,relaxation training,cognitive behavioral therapy,systematic desensitization therapy,sexy focused training and other treatments,so as to reduce the pain of sexual intercourse,overcome the fear of sexual intercourse,enhance the intimate relationship between husband and wife,and finally achieve sexual and family harmony.
