Analysis of pathogenic characteristics and clinical practice of erectile dysfunction based on the theory of stasis,depression,and deficiency
The etiology of erectile dysfunction(ED)is complex,and complex syndromes are common,which may affect the clinical diagnosis and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine to some extent.Based on the theory of"stasis,depression,and deficiency"in traditional Chinese medicine,as well as modern medical research,this article proposes that blood stasis is the core pathogenesis of ED,liver depression is an important factor for ED occurrence,and kidney deficiency is the inherent trend of ED ocurrence.Huoxue Tongluo Qiwei Tang is an agreement formulated by the team to address the basic pathological changes of ED,including blood stasis,liver depression,and kidney deficiency.Its clinical efficacy is significant.Meanwhile,based on our team's long-term clinical practice,we develop and propose three treatment strategies for ED,namely the combination of treating the disease and treating the patient,the combination of treating the root cause and treating the symptoms,the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine,and the combination of multiple methods,which can effectively improve the overall therapeutic effect of ED and are worthy of promotion and application.
