Summary of evidence on infection management in expandable penile prosthesis implantation surgery
Objective To comprehensively search,integrate,and evaluate relevant evidence on infection management during expandable penile prosthesis implantation for providing evidence-based evidence for the prevention,treatment,and nursing of implantation infections.Methods Based on the Evidence Resource Pyramid"6S"model,a comprehensive search was conducted on clinical decision support websites(UpToDate),various guideline websites,as well as system evaluation and original research websites(Cochrane Library,JBI,PubMed,CNKI,Wanfang Database).The search deadline is from database establishment to December 2023.Results A total of 8 articles were included,including 3 clinical decision-making articles,2 guidelines,1 expert consensus article,1 evidence summary article,and 1 systematic evaluation article.A total of 31 pieces of evidence were collected and evaluated,including preoperative evaluation,preoperative prevention,penile prosthesis selection,intraoperative infection management,and postoperative infection management.Conclusion This study summarizes 31 pieces of evidence on infection management after expandable penis prosthesis implantation,providing reference for the prevention and management of infection after expandable penis prosthesis implantation.
