Application of internet-based transitional care in day surgery for benign prostatic hyperplasia
Objective To evaluate the application of internet-based transitional care in day-surgery for benign prostatic hyperplasia. Methods A total of 102 patients who underwent prostatectomy in our department from April to October 2023 were enrolled in the study. The patients were randomly divided into two groups:the control group(53 cased)and the test group(49 cases). After discharge, the patients in the control group were treated with routine discharge care, while the patients in the test group were treated with"Internet+"transitional care. The understanding degree of postoperative nursing related knowledge, anxiety degree of the condition, incidence of complications and satisfaction degree of nursing service were compared between the two groups one month later. Results After"Internet+"transitional care, the scores of postoperative nursing knowledge in test group were significantly higher than those in the control group, with a statistical difference(P<0.05);The anxiety self-rating score(SAS)and the incidence of postoperative complications in the test group were lower than those in the control group, and the results were statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction score of the test group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of internet-based transitional nursing model in day-surgery for benign prostatic hyperplasia can help improve patients'understanding of disease-related nursing knowledge, reduce anxiety, decrease the incidence of complications, increase their satisfaction with nursing services, and enhance the effect of transitional nursing.
