Clinical study of single use of dapoxetine hydrochloride and combined"Start-Stop Training"in the treatment of lifelong premature ejaculation
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of single dapoxetine hydrochloride and combined motor-stop behavioral training (SST) in the treatment of primary premature ejaculation (LPE).Methods Patients presenting to our andrology clinic for LPE from September 2017 to December 2021 were randomly divided into single darpoxetine hydrochloride and combined SST treatment group (30 patients in each group).Patients were evaluated for efficacy after 4 weeks and 8 weeks of treatment, including changes in Intra-vaginal ejaculation latency time ( IELT) and Chinese index of sexual function for premature ejaculation (CIPE).Results The mean age of patients in the combination group and single dapoxetine hydrochloride group was (32.47±4.87) years and (32.87±6.36) years (P>0.05),respectively.Both IELT and CIPE scores improved somewhat compared to before treatment. The improvement in IELT and the change in CIPE score in the combination treatment group were significantly better than those in the dapoxetine hydrochloride treatment group (P<0.05),mainly in the proportion of IELT improvement and the increase in CIPE score. Conclusion The combination group was significantly better than the single dapoxepine hydrochloride group in treating LPE.
