Construction and application of the"C-HAPA"health management plan for male infertility patients
Objective To explore the effectiveness of the "C-HAPA" health management program,which integrates health coaching techniques with the HAPA theory,in managing the health of infertile patients.Methods From January to April 2022,51 male infertility patients visiting a top-tier hospital' s urology outpatient clinic were selected.They received a 4-month"C-HAPA"-based health management program and changes in health-promoting behaviors,semen quality,self-efficacy,and spousal support were comparatively analyzed before and after the intervention.Results Improvements were observed in smoking,drinking,diet types,and weekly physical exercise,all showing statistical significance (P<0.05).Semen parameters,including progressive motile sperm count ( M),post-intervention;progressive motile sperm percentage and normal morphology sperm rate were all improved,all with indicating statistically significant differences (P<0.001).General self-efficacy,the DCI total score and active coping were also significantly improved after intervention (P<0.001).Conclusion The "C-HAPA" health management program,effectively improves health-promoting behaviors and semen quality in infertile patients,enhances self-efficacy,and strengthens spousal support,which offers a new approach to managing male reproductive health and fertility preservation.
