The wartime communication postal service in the Liberated Areas of North China is the pre-decessor or embryonic form of the People's Postal Service of the People's Republic of China,and has impor-tant research value.The wartime communication and postal services in the Liberated Areas of North China experienced rapid development and growth during the Anti Japanese War and the Liberation War.The vast majority of wartime communication and postal activities in the liberated areas of North China were located in rural areas,which is a concrete manifestation of the Communist Party's revolutionary development path of"encircling cities from rural areas",the mass line,and the purpose of"serving the people wholeheartedly".During its construction process,rural society in liberated areas has been widely and profoundly affected.Spe-cifically manifested in five aspects:vigorously developing rural transportation and postal services,unifying the organization of revolutionary forces among the masses;Establish a sound network of newspapers,maga-zines,letters,and local postal services,promote and educate the masses to enhance their political awareness;Establish military postal services to support the military,give preferential treatment to families,support the government and love the people,and closely communicate with the front and rear of the liberated areas;As-sist rural residents in production and daily life,support disaster relief and land reform;Developing secret transportation trade and revitalizing the social and economic development of border areas.
