Research on the Relationship Between China's Economic Growth and Carbon Emission
There is a complex relationship between economic growth and carbon emissions, and it is of great significance to grasp the law between the two for promoting high-quality economic development. This paper aims to use the Tapio decoupling model to deeply analyze the relationship between China's economic growth and carbon emissions. The results show that:First, overall,China's economic growth and carbon emissions have shown a weak decoupling trend.Second, from the regional perspective, there are one to four expanding connections in the central, eastern, northeastern and western regions, respectively, and the rest of the years are in weak and strong decoupling states.Third, from the perspective of provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities),most provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities)have not fully decoupled, that is,economic growth still depends on the increase of carbon emissions to a certain extent, but the degree of dependence is different. It is suggested to improve the carbon emission trading market, speed up the adjustment of industrial structure, promote the development of green industries, and increase the investment and promotion of clean energy.
