Renewable Energy Development Leads Energy Supply Revolution
On 13 June 2014,President Xi Jinping creatively put forward the new energy security strategy of"four revolutions and one cooperation".Since that,China has realized the leapfrog development of renewable energy and new energy from small to big to strong,and from following to parallel to leading.In this paper,on the basis of a comprehensive review of China's renewable energy development achievements over the past decade,we put forward some new situations and challenges that are still faced by continuing to promote the leapfrog development of renewable energy facing the goal of Chinese-style modernization.We also put forward six policy suggestions,including to improve the top-level design and institutional system of renewable energy development,to comprehensively enhance the supply capacity of renewable energy,to support the participation of renewable energy in the power market,to promote green energy consumption and renewable energy substitution applications,to strengthen the energy science and technology innovation system and industrial system,and to orderly promote the international industrial chain co-operation and in-depth participation in the change of international energy governance.
