Expanding International Energy Cooperation in All Directions,Helping GCC Countries in Green and Diversified Development
As a global energy resource-rich region,the Persian Gulf region is of strategic significance for China to realize energy security in an open environment.Over the past ten years,energy cooperation between China and the GCC(Gulf Cooperation Council)countries has been effective in oil and gas trade,integrated upstream and downstream oil and gas cooperation,renewable energy project cooperation and strategic mechanism docking,which has provided important support for China's high level of energy security and high-quality development.In the future,China and the GCC countries will continue to explore new energy cooperation and high-quality energy transformation on the basis of the solid foundation of oil and gas cooperation;strengthen the systematic and holistic nature of strategic docking and planning and design,and explore in-depth opportunities for pragmatic and mutually beneficial cooperation;enhance the quality of energy cooperation through strengthened green financial cooperation;and jointly improve the energy governance system and enhance the level of energy cooperation between China and the GCC countries.
