Zhejiang Province has abundant pumped storage resources and excellent development conditions,and is making every effort to build a pumped storage based in East China.It is an important task to cultivate and develop pumped storage industry for the comprehensive benefits of pumped storage projects,build a new energy system.Firstly,this paper used the SWOT model to analyze the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and challenges of developing pumped storage industry comprehensively and systematically in Zhejiang Province.Then,the development ideas and directions have been proposed.Finally,five development approaches from the aspects of strengthening chain,supplementing chain and extending chain are put forward.
