Influence of low inducing temperature on foreign protein production in recombinant Pichia pastoris
Pichia pastoris expression system is one of the most prominent expression systems which is widely applied and developed in recent years. A large number of researches indicated that low inducing temperature plays an important role in promoting cell material and energy metabolism, improving intracellular alcohol oxidase (AOX), energy level, as well as reducing the cell mortality rate and affecting proteases during fermentation process of P. pastoris. In addition, degradation and aggregation of foreign protein are also related to the temperature during its expression phase. This paper reviewed the research progress of temperature induction on the expression of foreign proteins in P. pastoris.
