Objective To observe the effectiveness of Zhituo Zhuofa Formula in ftreating scalp seborrheic dermatitis.Methods Sixty patients with SSD were randomly divided into two groups,the test group(n=30)was treated with Zhituo Zhufa Formula,while the control group(n=30)was treated with 2％ketoconazole,both groups received treatment once a week for a total of 4 weeks.Follow up for 4 weeks,calculate the clinical symptom scores,Malassezia microscopy results,adverse reactions,and recurrence.Results The effective rate of the treatment group was 86.20％(25/29),while the effective rate of the control group was 60.71％(17/28).The therapeutic effect of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,both groups showed significant improvement in clinical symptoms such as itching,dandruff,scalp oiliness,and scalp erythema/inflammatory papules(P＜0.05).However,the experimental group was able to control hair loss symptoms(P＜0.05),while the control group had no such effect(P＞0.05).The comparison between the two groups showed that the treatment group had a better average onset time in improving itching,dandruff,scalp oiliness,hair loss,etc.than the control group(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference(P＞0.05)in the effective clearance rate of Malassezia between the two groups.Both groups did not show any significant adverse reactions.After follow-up,the recurrence rate in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Zhituo Zhuofa Formula has a fast onset and no significant adverse reactions in treating scalp seborrheic dermatitis of damp heat type,and has certain advantages compared to Caile Lotion.
