Health Risk Assessment of Soil Chromium Pollution in Three Typical Tannery Sites
According to the Technical guidelines for risk assessment of soil contamination of land for construction ( HJ 25.3-2019),three typical tannery sites were evaluated for human health risks.Identify Cr(Ⅲ) and Cr(Ⅵ) of the three sites as site concern contaminants. The tannery and sewage treatment plants of Site Ⅰ have carcinogenic risks, which are 2.92 and 1.35 times the limit value respectively. All areas of Site Ⅱ have certain carcinogenic risk, among which the carcinogenic risk of sludge yard is higher,248 times the limit value. In addition, the sludge yard al-so has a non-carcinogenic hazard, which is 2.96 times the limit value. At Site Ⅲ,the carcinogenic and non-carcino-genic risks reach 841 and 9.05 times the limits, respectively. The calculated risk control value for soil Cr(Ⅵ) of Site I is Cr(Ⅵ) 0.53 mg/kg,and the calculated risk control value for soil Cr(Ⅵ) of Site Ⅱ and Site Ⅲ is Cr(Ⅵ) 0.299 mg/kg.For areas with human health risks,it is recommended to implement necessary site control measures, and com-bine the soil Cr(Ⅵ) risk control value and the current national standard to prevent and remediate the soil of the tan-nery sites.
