The Study of Spatial Distribution Pattern of Traditional Villages in China
As important carrier of regional culture and folk customs, traditional village has strong value of history, cultural, aesthetic and tourism, and strong representative and typicality especially in the aspect of reflecting the traditional cultural heritage. With the help of spatial analysis method, analyzing the space distribution features and spatial autocorrelation of traditional villages. The results show that:first of all,the spatial distribution density of national traditional villages is greatly influenced by geographical environment factors, shows obvious difference and core-edge pattern, exists four obvious concentrated area—northwest of Yunnan province, southeast of Guizhou province, the central plains of China and the area from southern Anhui to western Zhejiang.Secondly, the provincial difference of spatial distribution of national traditional villages is more obvious, the number of traditional villages in Yunnan and Guizhou accounts for 38% of the number of traditional villages around the country, and the number of traditional villages in Neimenggu,Xinjiang,Xizang,Ningxia and Liaoning accounts for 3%.In addition, the spatial distribution of national traditional villages shows the feature of ‘ more in south, less in north',and obvious difference between the eastern, central and western area.Southwest China is the most concentrated area of traditional villages, the middle reaches area of the Yangtze river takes second place.Thirdly, the spatial distribution of national traditional villages has obvious spatial autocorrelation and distinct polarization phenomenon;it' s not completely random, however, traditional villages tend to cluster on the similar spatial distribution scale region. Finally, the spatial distribution of national traditional villages has strong stability and continuity, shows a gradient distribution pattern of hot spot area-secondary hot spot area-secondary cold spot area-cold spot area from south to north.Yunnan and Guizhou are the hot spot areas of the spatial distribution of national traditional villages.Among them, the hot spot areas mainly distribute in the southern region, cold spot areas mainly distribute in the northern region, showing obvious differences between the south and the north.
