To deeply understand the connotation of high-quality development of higher education in the popularization era and promote the realization of new development needs,it is necessary to first sort out the evolution logic of quality demands in the process of development from elite to popularization;and then ex-amine the challenges of higher education quality in the era of popularization of higher education from an inevitable orientation,so as to clearly perceive the pulse of the development of the times and deeply understand the realistic challenges of high-quality development of higher education in the era of popularization in the face of diverse learning needs,learner-centered approach transformation,and value appreciation.Based on evolutionary logic and realistic challenges,it is nec-essary to adjust the direction and content of higher education quality development in the era of popularization from the perspective of Marxist humanism,optimize the supply side of national higher education talent training,innovate teaching practices and methods in colleges and universities,and build the knowledge pro-duction mode and learning community that meet the needs of the times and socie-ty,which promotes higher education to be humanized,future-oriented,and life-long,meets the individualized learning demands of the country and each individ-ual for high-quality development,and achieves the harmonious coexistence of man and society and nature and the cultivation of a complete man.
