What is Labor Education in Colleges and Universities in the New Era:A Grounded Theory Study
Labor education in the new era has achieved great development in reality, but at present, there is still a lack ofempirical research on the implemen-tation of labor education in colleges and universities. In the present study, labor education implementation plans in colleges and universities were analyzed with grounded theory to explore the reality of labor education in colleges and universi-ties in the grassroots field.Through rooted coding,a total of 29 initial categories,9 sub-categories,and 4 main categories of labor education have been constructed. It is found that labor education in colleges and universities consisted of four di-mensions:labor education goals, labor education content, labor education reali-zation paths, and labor education security systems. Each dimension had rich con-ceptual categories, and the dimensions were mutually anteceded and promoted, and followed a certain logical context to jointly point to the construction of labor education in colleges and universities. The development of labor education in col-leges and universities in the New Era lies in the organic unity of incremental re-form and stock optimization.Incremental reform should further strengthen institu-tional construction and substantial empowerment, while stock optimization should focus on the content of labor education and its realization path.
