"Entering history"has become a clear trend in current Chinese social science re-search.From a theoretical perspective,the entry of social science research into history is not only related to the characteristics of social science research,but also to significant historical chan-ges.Entering history is to better understand and construct reality;Social science research enters history with the basic content of defending the legitimacy of reality,critical appraisal of reality,and theoretical construction based on long-term historical cycles.In the process of entering history,Chi-nese social science research has undergone a transformation from introducing foreign historical ori-ented trends to awakening local consciousness represented by"historical political science".So far it has achieved many important achievements and has also reflected many problems.Chinese social sci-ence research's entering history must aim to construct a system of knowledge according to Chinese reality and under the guidance of historical materialism in order to enter history with a broader per-spective and a more academic approach.
