Based on the analysis of the structural characteristics and evolutionary trends of networks of collaborative innovation,this article explores the impact and mechanisms of collaborative innova-tion in facilitating the rise of manufacturing enterprises along the global value-chain.The key find-ings are as follows.First,China's network of collaborative innovation is rapidly expanding with prominent entities such as leading industrial enterprises,science and engineering universities,and government research institutions occupying central positions.It reveals a distinct"core-edge"spa-tial structure.Second,collaborative innovation contributes to enhancing Domestic Value-added Ra-tio(DVAR)of the enterprise exports,with its influence primarily realized through the enhance-ment of market power and engagement in high-tech production activities.Third,the effect of climb-ing the global value-chain through networks of collaborative innovation is more obvious in enterpri-ses with greater capacity of production and technological absorption,lower positions in the value-chain,and reduced risks of trade barrier.
