The study of international migration has long been plagued by the bias of emphasizing on the countries hosting immigrants, especially on the integration of immigrants into the host coun-tries,while neglecting the long-term interactive relationship between international migrants and their home countries. However, the impact of migrants on their home countries cannot be underes-timated for the number of immigrants continues to rise.To explore the mechanism of the impact of international immigrants on the politics of their home country becomes necessary for the study of international migration.Transnational immigration creates a transnational social space. The trans-territorial nature of this space enables immigrants to possibly influence their home country political-ly.Such possibility and power are achieved through"dual-empowerment."On the one hand, after being re-socialized in their host countries, immigrants seek to influence the politics of their home countries through"social remittances".On the other hand,in heroizing migrants as the other, the home countries of the migrants also pave the way to facilitating the migrants'influence on the poli-tics of their home countries.
