摘要
有清一代大儒方苞,是"东人之观于中国者"的代表之一.他的文章创作实践与理论精义成为海东文人衡文的规范,是"观中国"的一扇法门;他的理学主张成为海东学人衡理的法则,于其中可见"中州人气象之阔大";他的经学论述被海东儒者广泛采资引用,成为平议经学争论的标准.海东文人从在心理上蔑视清人、不采纳清儒学说,到出现"成海应转变",方苞学问是促成转变的一个非常重要的媒介.海东文人以"周边"身份看"中州"方苞文章,以超越"小桐城"的"大桐城"视野,从"世界中"的维度审视方苞学问,让其学术思想在东亚汉文化圈产生意义,成为东亚学术的一道重要景观.
Abstract
As a great Qing Confucian scholar,Fang Bao was admired by Korean scholars when they studied Chinese literature.While both his writing and theoretical arguments on writing were exem-plified by Korean scholars,his Neo-Confucian ideas also deeply influenced Korean Confucian schol-ars and his elucidations on Confucian classics were widely quoted as the standard answers to ques-tions related to Confucian classics.Korean scholars read Fang Bao'works from a peripheral perspec-tive,yet they were able to evaluate his scholarship in a much larger,international context and in this way expand late Qing scholarship represented by Fang Bao to a broad East Asian academic sphere.
