The rejuvenation of Chinese nation on all fronts through a Chinese path to modernization relies on the construction of its social values.The notion of the Chinese nation as one community in-cludes many long-standing common values.Establishing the big family of the Chinese nation with joint efforts,the striving spirit of the achievement of a better life,the philosophy of harmony and combination of Chinese people of all ethnic groups close to each other like in one family,and the selfless dedication for the big family of the Chinese nation together constitute the value of the notion of the Chinese nation as one community.These values demonstrate the defining characteristics of the Chinese civilization,lead to the unity of people's self-realization and the construction of the Chi-nese nation as one family,and reflect the common interests and shared destiny of the Chinese peo-ple of all ethnic groups.The connotations of these values continue to develop through different a-ges.These values are important manifestation of the common psychological quality of the Chinese nation as one community.Under the background of Chinese modernization,these values help to forge a strong sense of the notion of Chinese nation as one community,to comprehensively promote the ethnic unity and progress,to tell the stories well about the notion of Chinese nation as one com-munity,and to deal with possible risks and challenges effectively.
