Taking the green onion variety'Qingye No.1'as test material, the effects of inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)on the growth and mineral element absorption of green onion seedlings were studied. The results showed that AMF could form a good and stable symbiotic relationship with the onion root system, and the root mycorrhizal infection rate was 83.3%in 45 days seedlings.Compared with control(CK),inoculation with AMF significantly increased the plant height, pseudostem length, stem thickness, fresh and dry weight in both onion seedlings and roots, the root activity, root surface area, leaf photosynthetic pigment and nutrient mineral elements contents of N,P,K,and Mn in onion seedlings. These results suggest that inoculation with AMF is helpful in breeding robust green onion seedlings.
