The spatial and temporal variation of soil wind erosion modulus in the Baishan region of Hebei Province from 2000 to 2018
Soil wind erosion is one of the major ecological environmental problem in arid and semi-arid areas.Bashang region of Hebei Province is a typical wind erosion area in northern China. Its special geographical loca-tion makes it an important ecological barrier in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.In order to better understand the process of soil wind erosion in Bashang region and improve the wind and sand protection system in this region, this study calculates the soil wind erosion modulus in Bashang region of Hebei Province using the integrated wind erosion modeling system(IWEMS)based on meteorological, soil, remote sensing data and land use data. The results showed that from 2000 to 2018,the average wind erosion modulus and the proportion of wind erosion risk areas in Baishan region showed a decreasing trend overall. The variation of monthly average wind erosion modulus in-dicates that the wind erosion mainly occurred from November to May.The degree of wind erosion is mainly mild to moderate, and wind erosion disasters mainly occur in the central and western parts of the Baishan region.Since 2009,the wind erosion modulus in Kangbao County and Zhangbei County has gradually decreased, while the wind erosion modulus in the western part of Fengning County has gradually increased.Through data analysis on the factors affecting soil wind erosion,it was found that the wind erosion modulus of different land use types ranked as follows:sandy land>cultivated land>grassland>forestland.Vegetation cover and soil moisture were the main factors affecting the monthly variation of wind erosion modulus, and cumulative sand-carrying time was positively correlated with wind erosion modulus.
