One patient with calcinosis-associated chronic ulcer at the calf, admitted to The Orthopedics Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Zhuzhou City on September 6,2022,was given the conventional dressing change of povidone iodine solution following the simple debridement and resection of the calcified nodules for local wound management,on the basis of symptomatic and supportive treatments including infection control with sensitive antibiotics. After 7 days of treatment, the wound didn't show obvious improvement.Consequently, radical debridement was performed to resect chronic ulcer tissues and calcified deposits, followed by the routine dressing change of povidone iodine solution and oral administration of Bazhen Decoction. The wound was healed completely after another 12 days of treatment.
