Isolation,Identification of Antagonistic Bacteria ZF515 and Its Biocontrol Effect on Cucumber Downy Mildew
Downy mildew is one of the most common and destructive diseases in cucumber cultivation, often causing great economic losses.Biological control is an important measure that can effectively control crop diseases and is environmentally friendly. In order to screen out the biocontrol strains that can effectively control downy mildew of cucumber,121 Bacillus strains were obtained by isolating soil samples from the inter-root of diseased cucumber.Eight strains with good efficacy against cucumber downy mildew were obtained under the condition of potted plants in greenhouse.Using these eight strains to carry out field experiments in greenhouses in different regions,it was determined that the strain ZF515 had a stable control effect against Cucumber Downy Mildew, with a control efficacy as high as 71.47%.The strain ZF515 was identified as Bacillus velezensis based on biological characteristics, physiological and biochemical characteristics, and multilocus sequence analysis. The strain ZF515 was assessed to have broad spectrum resistance to eight different pathogenic fungi by plate confrontation method. The above results showed that strain ZF515 has good biological potential against cucumber downy mildew and is a biocontrol strain with developmental value.
