Objective To explore the differences in cardiac function between early-onset(EOSP)and late-onset severe preeclampsia(LOSP),and discuss the risk factors affecting the cardiac function. Methods Totally 108 patients with se-vere preeclampsia admitted to the First Affliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University from January 2016 to January 2021 were selected. On the basis of gestational week at the onset of disease(34 weeks),these patients were divided into two groups:EOSP group(73 cases)and LOSP group(35 cases). We collected the clinical data and echocardiographic data to compare the differences in cardiac function between the two groups. Results Compared with the LOSP group, the EOSP group had higer left ventricular end diastolic diameter[(47.0±3.3)mm vs.(49.1±4.6)mm,P=0.016],left ventricu-lar end systolic diameter[(29.1±3.4)mm vs.(30.8±3.9)mm,P=0.033],and left ventricular mass index[(71.1±14.7)g/m2 vs.(81.8±19.0)g/m2,P=0.010],and lower E/A value(1.2±0.3 vs.1.1±0.3,P=0.022).Additionally,the NT-proB-NP[(389.1±674.4)ng/L vs.(646.3±997.6)ng/L,P=0.014]and the incidence and early cardiac dysfunction[1 case(2.9%)vs.15 cases(20.5%),P=0.015]in EOSP group were higher. The risk factors affecting E/A value in EOSP pa-tients included heart rate, gestational age,and hemoglobin. Conclusion Patients with EOSP are more likely to have car-diac geometry changes and left ventricular diastolic dysfunction concentration. The risk factors affecting cardiac diastolic function in EOSP patients include heart rate, gestational age,and hemoglobin concentration.
