Pelvic organ prolapse is a common disease in middle and aged women.With the increase of age,the degenerative changes in physiology,biochemistry,histomorphology and other aspects of the women's internal organs bring great risks to anesthesia and surgery.Besides,most of the patients undergoing pelvic floor reconstruction surgery are elderly and have many comorbidities.It is very important to evaluate com-prehensively before surgery,reduce the occurrence of perioperative complications,choose appropriate sur-gical methods,reduce short-term recurrence after surgery,and cherish the surgical opportunities for the elderly patients.This paper discusses the comprehen-sive evaluation before pelvic floor reconstruction sur-gery in elderly women.
