Changes in maternal hemodynamics and tissue pathophysiology during severe postpartum hem-orrhage
Maternal blood volume changes during pregnancy and puerperium.Severe postpartum hem-orrhage leads to significant hemodynamic and histo-pathological changes, which may result in hemorrhagic shock, disseminated intravascular coagulation, and multiple organ dysfunction or failure.Understanding these pathological processes is helpful for early clinical recognition and correct treatment, which reduces ma-ternal mortality.
