Surgical treatment of ovarian endometrioma in women of reproductive age
Ovarian endometrioma(OMA)is one of the most common manifestation of endometriosis,ac-counting for approximately 17%-44%of cases.OMA is closely related to the quality of life and reproductive health of patients. The surgery of OMA often faces three major issues:whether, when and how to perform surgery. The purpose of OMA sugical treatment is to eliminate lessons, provide sufficent tissue for histological eval-uation,and preserve normal ovarion tissue to the greatest possible. This requires clinical doctors to make decisions based on actual situations. There are sig-nificant differences in the recommended standards and methodological quality of existing guidelines for en-dometriosis.Therefore,further high-level and high-quality research is needed to provide more evidence for OMA in reproductive age.
