Diagnosis and treatment of infertility with hy-perprolactinemia
Hyperprolactinemia is a relatively common endocrine disease with a higher incidence in infertility patients than in the general population. The diagnosis of hyperprolactinemia requires a combination of serum prolactin level and clinical manifestations.Prolactin can affect the reproductive system through a variety of mechanisms, such as central and peripheral,so hy-perprolactinemia not only affects the reproductive function of patients, but also may increase the risk of abortion.Patients diagnosed with hyperprolactinemia who have fertility needs should be actively treated, and the drugs recommended are dopamine agonists.Once pregnancy is detected, dopamine agonist discontinu-ation is recommended in the vast majority of patients with mildtomoderate hyperprolactinemia.
