Research status and prospects of cervical Chla-mydia trachomatis infection
Genital Chlamydial trachomatis(Ct)in-fection is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases globally,mostly occurring in sexually active population.The initial infection in female is cervicitis,but it can cause endometritis,salpingitis and pelvic inflammatory disease,resulting in ectopic pregnancy and infertility.This article reviews the epidemiology,mechanism and adverse outcomes,co-infection and tertiary prevention of genital chlamydia infection in females.
