Importance of the prediction, evaluation and protection of cardiac function of pregnant wom-en in preventing complications
The cardiac morphology and function of pregnant women undergo a series of adaptive changes with gestational age.Normal pregnant women may ex-perience enhanced cardiac pumping function and possible changes in cardiac function and structure. When cardiovascular related pregnancy complications occur, maternal heart function may experience varying degrees of damage.Pregnancy in women with cardio-vascular diseases poses a serious challenge to cardiac function. Therefore,it is recommended that a combi-nation of routine electrocardiogram and echocardiog-raphy to screen for heart function should be done in pregnant women while paying attention to clinical symptoms.Dynamic assessments of cardiac function throughout pregnancy in patients with heart disease are crucial for preventing serious cardiac complications.
