Selection of the Cultivation Materials for Phlebopus portentosus
The cultivation of species belong to Boletales has been a research difficulty in the field of edible fungi production, and suitable cultivation materials are important guarantees for mycelium growth and fruit bodies formation. In this paper the best cultivation substrates for the growth of mycelium of Phlebopus portentosus were determined by measuring the mycelial growth, physicochemical indexes and extracellular enzyme activities during the cultivation process. The results showed that by measur-ing the mycelium growth, five formula of cultivation materials were obtained, wihch were C1(poplar sawdust 99%,quicklime 1%),C3(oak sawdust 99%,quicklime 1%),Y1(poplar sawdust 50%,corn cob 24.5%,wheat bran 24.5%,quicklime 1%),Y2(poplar sawdust 50%,corn cob 24.5%,cotton seed shell 24.5%,quicklime 1%),X2(oak sawdust 50%,corn cob 24.5%,cotton seed shell 24.5%,quicklime 1%).During the cultivation process of P.portentosus, the total organic carbon and total nitrogen content of Y1 and Y2 cultivation substrates were at high levels during the mycelial growth period, and the nutrient consumption rate was fast. The activities of carboxymethyl cellulase, hemicellulase, amylase, protease, and laccase in Y2 cultivation substrates were significantly higher than those in other groups. Thus,it can be seen that the substrate of Y2 cultivation material is more suitable for the mycelial growth of P.portentosus.The results provide a theoretical basis for the mycelial growth of P.portento-sus and lay an important theoretical foundation for P.portentosus cultivation.
