Investigation of Commercial Wild Edible Fungi in Hanzhong Region
Hanzhong region is located in the southwest of Shaanxi Province,bordered by the Qinling Mountains and the Ta-pa Mountains.The region has superior ecological environment,therefore it breeds abundant edible fungi resources,some of them are well consumed species.However,the investigations and taxonomic studies on the commercial wild edible fungi in this region have not been conducted,there are still some problems such as unclear species number,inaccurate identification,common names in circulation but scientific names unknown,and so on.A total of 104 samples of commercial wild edible fungi were col-lected and identified based on morphological and molecular analyses(ITS sequence).As a conclusion,56 species belonging to 14 families and 26 genera were identified(the families of 3 species were not determined yet).According to the results,the mor-phological plates were made for the 7 new recorded species in Shaanxi Province which reported in past 7 years,as well as 8 species of best-selling wild edible fungi.The investigation results basically clarified the quantity and species list(common and scientific names)of commercial wild edible fungi in Hanzhong region,and provided theoretical information for science popular-ization and resource exploitation of wild edible fungi in this region.
