Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of self-made modified Sishen Decoction in treating anorexia syndrome of spleen and stomach yin deficiency in children. Methods Sixty children with anorexia who were treated at the Shitang Community Health Service Center from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected. All children were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 30 cases in each group using a random number table method. The control group was treated with oral solution of lysine inositol and vitamin B12,while the observation group was treated with self-maded modified Sishen decoction on the basis of the control group's treatment plan.Compare the clinical efficacy of two groups,as well as the average height, average body mass, appetite, food intake, and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores before and after treatment. Results The clinical efficacy of the observation group after treatment was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the appetite, food intake scores, and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores of the two groups were significantly lower than before treatment, and the above scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group after treatment(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in average height between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).After treatment, the average body weight of both groups was significantly higher than before treatment, and the average body weight of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of Lysine Inositol Vitamin B12 oral solution and self-made Modified Sishen decoction is more effective in treating children with spleen and stomach yin deficiency type anorexia than using Lysine Inositol Vitamin B12 oral solution alone. It can further improve the appetite and clinical symptoms of children, increase food intake and body weight, and is worth promoting and using.
