Clinical Efficacy and Safety Analysis of Pregabalin Combined with Lidocaine in Patients with Postherpetic Neuralgia
Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy and safety of pregabalin combined with lidocaine in patients with postherpetic neuralgia(PHN).Methods Eighty cases of PHN patients admitted to Sanming First Hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects, and were randomly divided into 40 cases each in the control group and the combined group. The control group was treated with pregabalin, and the combined group was treated with pregabalin combined with 5% lidocaine gel paste. The efficacy, incidence of adverse reactions, pain level(visual analogue scale,VAS)and sleep quality(pittsburgh sleep quality index,PSQI)before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results The total clinical effectiveness rate of the combined group was 100.00%,which was significantly higher than 82.5% of the control group(P<0.05).The VAS scores of the combined group were significantly lower than those of the control group at 2 weeks and 4 weeks after the treatment(P<0.05).The sleep onset scores, the sleep duration scores, sleep disorder scores, and the sleep quality scores of the combined group were all significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Pregabalin combined with 5% lidocaine gel paste in the total treatment of PHN can relieve pain, improve sleep quality, and achieve a more satisfactory therapeutic effect, and the safety is high.
