Imitation and Transformation:A Comparative Research of the"Gentry Travel"Scheme in Chinese Painting and Porcelain Painting in the Middle and Late Ming Dynasty
The picture of the"Gentry Travel"originated from the widespread participation in tourism activities by various social classes during the middle and late Ming Dynasty,and was an important subject in both traditional Chinese paintings and porcelain paintings.This paper focuses on the"Gentry Travel"scheme in traditional Chinese painting and porcelain painting,comparing the form and content of both to explore how porcelain painting imitates and transforms the pictorial patterns of traditional Chinese painting.Additionally,it further analyzes the element composition and schematic structure patterns of porcelain painting"Gentry Travel,"seeking the specific methods and pathways for the schematic transformation of porcelain painting based on traditional Chinese painting.At the same time,by examining both art forms in the cultural context of the mid and late Ming Dynasty,this study reveals the specific reasons for the increasing interest of porcelain painting in the process of imitating and transforming the"Gentry Travel"schema of Chinese painting.
